Scimitar are delighted to announce that the winner of the second Charity Giveaway is The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, receiving over £2000 in credit towards their next sportswear & promotional item order with Scimitar.
Located in Glasgow, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice supports 1200 patients & families every year, providing the best quality of life possible.
Adam Church-Millward, Marketing Manager at Scimitar, said: “After the success of last year’s competition and the high levels of interest from hundreds of charities, we are delighted to announce the winner as The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice”.
This follows on from the inaugural competition in 2017, which was won by Starlight Children’s Foundation and helped fund the purchase of premium custom running vests.
“The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice has been rebuilt for 2018 to offer the latest, greatest palliative care possible to those in the Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Cambuslang & Rutherglen regions”, continues Church-Millward.
“Hopefully, the funds saved with the competition win will help more people benefit from the service of the hospice”.
After hearing of the win for their charity, Caroline Watson at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won the £2,019 Charity Giveaway! We have just gone through a rebrand so it couldn’t have happened at a better time for us”.
Detailing the importance of fundraisers for the hospice, Caroline explained: “Fundraisers help us in a massive way as we rely heavily on voluntary donations to raise £3.1million each year of our £5million annual running costs.
“Without our fundraisers, we would not be able to provide the gold standard of service that we aim for at the hospice”.
