Community Kit & Boot Donation Drive Launches to Support Sustainable Rugby and Global Grassroots Development

Scimitar is proud to announce that Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club has officially launched a major community kit and boot donation drive in support of our Wear Then Share Roadshow, delivered in partnership with rugby creator Max Brown and proudly sponsored by Titan Wealth.

As part of this nationwide sustainability initiative, Bishop’s Stortford RFC is calling on members, supporters, families, and the wider town to donate pre-loved rugby boots to be repurposed through our trusted recycling partners: Tag Rugby Trust, Rugby Recycled, and Scrum 5ive.

Giving Rugby Kit a Second Life

At Scimitar, we believe kit should go further. Through Wear Then Share, we extend the life cycle of pre-loved sportswear by delivering it to rugby communities in developing countries—where access to quality equipment can transform participation, improve safety, and support long-term player development.

Earlier this year, Bishop’s Stortford RFC made a substantial donation of surplus training kit through the scheme. Building on that incredible success, the club is now rallying its entire community to get involved and make an even bigger impact.

Supporting Rugby in Developing Nations

Donations collected through Bishop’s Stortford’s 2026 campaign will go directly towards supporting grassroots rugby across developing nations. We’re encouraging members, players, supporters, schools, and local residents to gather their old boots (clean and ready) and drop them at the club over the coming months.

Every donation helps break down barriers to participation and supports programmes that grow the game on a global scale.

The Wear Then Share Roadshow Arrives in Early 2026

The Scimitar Wear Then Share Roadshow—powered by Titan Wealth and delivered in collaboration with Max Brown, Tag Rugby Trust, Rugby Recycled, and Scrum 5ive—will visit Bishop’s Stortford RFC in early 2026.

The event is set to be a standout moment for the club and local community, with special guests in attendance and opportunities to learn more about how kit donations directly benefit rugby communities around the world.

How to Donate

Bishop’s Stortford RFC is inviting the entire local area to support this meaningful initiative. Donation points will be located at the club, with full details on drop-off times and accepted items to follow shortly.
