With COVID-19 confirmed cases in the UK now on the rise, the senior management team at Scimitar wanted to touch base.
Firstly, and most importantly, we want to reassure our clients and prospective customers that it remains business as usual for the team at Scimitar for your custom orders. Worcestershire, our home, is one of the least affected counties at the time of writing.
These are challenging times for all of us, but we can assure you that there’s robust plans in place for Scimitar to enable us to continue working. We have established a thorough Business Continuity Plan to benefit our staff, our clients and the local community.
Key Details:
+ Every department of Scimitar (including Account Managers & Designers) is equipped to work remotely from home (if and when necessary). + Inbound deliveries for custom orders are expected and will be dispatched as normal (unless otherwise communicated). + Retail orders will be dispatched and sent as normal, and we are expecting very little in the way of delays. + We may be postponed or replace external client meetings with virtual alternatives.
Amongst all of this, our hearts and thoughts go out to our charity & mass participation clients amid the cancellations. For events with proposed (or confirmed) rearrangement of dates, we’ll do everything we can to support you.
Thank you to all of our clients for your continued support. Together we’ll come through this stronger and better. COVID-19 haschanged nothing for us and we are well equipped to continue as normal regardless of the official situation here in the UK.
*UPDATE – 18th March 2020
The Scimitar team want to reassure customers that we are doing everything in our power to continue with our custom sportswear business as normally as possible.
We have implemented a partial lockdown of the office and warehouse to help mitigate risk of COVID-19 for staff & vulnerable individuals in the local community. As a business, our staff are at the heart of what we do and the health & welfare of their families is of the upmost importance to us.
That being said, every department at Scimitar (from Account Managers & Designers to Garment Technology & Marketing) is equipped to work remotely from home, so we really do carry on as normal! In terms of physical goods, Inbound deliveries for custom orders are expected and will be dispatched as normal (unless otherwise communicated in the future). Retail orders of @Elite & @Funky, as well as for bespoke shops, will be dispatched and sent as normal.
There’s no getting away from the inconvenience, but we must continue. We are currently planning a number of exciting things for existing & new clients across all sectors. We are also looking at ways we can support our friends at mass participation events that have been cancelled or postponed. We’ll also be supporting our charity partners in the same way to help fundraising efforts amidst cancelled fundraisers.
We are planning on launching some games and competitions in the next couple of weeks to keep the isolated entertained. More on all of that soon.
Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter & Instagram accounts (@ScimitarCustom) for the very latest. In the meantime, stay safe and share a smile. This is a time to come together and support the vulnerable.
