Scimitar Proud to Support Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance
On Saturday 20th September 2025, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance hosted their annual Dash in the Dark – a 5K night-time fun run that lit up Southampton Common. At Scimitar were proud to once again have supplied the charity with the official event tops, glow in the dark medals, socks, and more, helping make this incredible fundraising event even brighter.
Thousands Raised to Keep the Air Ambulance Flying
Over the years, Dash in the Dark has raised more than £200,000, directly funding life-saving missions across the region. This year alone, almost 800 runners joined the fun, donning neon accessories, glow sticks and colourful tutus to illuminate the night in support of their local Air Ambulance.
The atmosphere was electric. Families, friends and supporters from across Hampshire gathered together, showing their commitment to a cause that touches so many lives. Thanks to their efforts, more than £30,000 was raised at the 2025 event – that is enough to fund eight life-saving Air Ambulance missions! That’s eight families who will have help when they need it most. Literally saving lives.
Scimitar’s Role in Dash in the Dark
At Scimitar, we specialise in creating custom sportswear and event merchandise for charities, events and sports clubs. For several years, we’ve proudly supported Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance with high-quality, custom gear for their epic fundraising events and their Dash in the Dark fun runs.
