This weekend, the World’s largest half marathon took place on the streets of Newcastle.
Starting at Exhibition Park, crossing the city across to Gateshead and heading out towards the coast of South Shields, the Great North Run once again proved to be one of the staple mass participation events of the UK.
We were delighted to provide the official merchandise for the Great North Run, ranging from jackets and base-layers to technical t-shirts and running vests. We developed a bespoke online shop, and we were at both the Pasta Party and finish line with our official range of running apparel. With the event now over, we’ve re-enabled all products for delivery! You can browse the range by clicking here.
It’s not just the Great North Run. We work with mass participation events of all sizes to provide branding, retail merchandise, finisher t-shirts and medals, including the Threshold Trail Series, Castle Triathlon Series and Human Race events. Effectively, Scimitar are the one-stop solution for marathons and running events.
Besides the official merchandise for the Great North Run, we were proud to see thousands of Scimitar running vests worn by a number of charities. That’s over £250,000 raised by fundraisers in Scimitar running apparel! From Alzheimer’s Society and Breast Cancer Now to Hibbs Lupus Trust and Help for Heroes, Scimitar work with charities of all sizes to create running vests and custom apparel.
