Countdown to the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge

On Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st July, representatives from various companies from across the UK will be lowering office instruments and replacing them with running vests and trainers!
It’s that time of the year – the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge is nearly upon us!
For those of us who aren’t in the corporate working environment, the event was founded in New York in 1977 with the aim of promoting fitness in the workplace.
The London leg last year attracted 29,017 entrants from a total of 699 companies. It’s not an event exclusive to the USA and the UK; there are a total of 14 events in 2016, spanning Australia, South Africa, Germany, Italy, China & Australia.
The biggest event is often seen in Frankfurt, where this year 68,119 entrants competed from a massive 2,633 corporations!
Entrants.
Among the companies to enter the London leg of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge this year are the banks of HSBC, Lloyds, Natwest & Santander, petroleum companies BP & Shell and consumer giants such as Sky, British Airways & Unilever.

How we’re involved.
We’ve been busy in preparation for this event, creating custom run vests for a number of corporate companies to compete in.
Our sublimation running vests are the perfect answer for those who want a mix of corporate brand exposure and technical performance. Although in the majority seen as a fun, engaging experience, competition between keen JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge runners can tend to get a little fierce!
Last year, Nicholas Torry of Commerzbank AG set the best time in the male category, with 17:19 over the 3.5 mile stretch. Stephanie Davis, of King Street (Europe) LLP, recorded the best female time with 19:50.
Speaking of his win in 2015, Torry told the official JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge website that “..It’s special to run in this race with Commerzbank on my shirt. It’s very different than some of my other competitions.”
Finally…
We wish all entrants the best of luck in this years race, and, more than anything, that entrants have fun!
To keep up to date with all the build-up to the event, be sure to keep your eyes on the #JPMCCC live feed on Twitter. Are you taking part? We’d love to hear from you for a special post-race feature! Get in touch with Scimitar on Twitter or Facebook.
