We’re delighted to introduce one of our exciting new repurposing partners, donateclothes.uk.
As part of our exclusive agreement, as well as our unwavering commitment to reducing wasted apparel wherever possible, we are working closely with the team at Donate Clothes to donate clothing that’s either old or no longer required.
Working directly with our clients and offering this as a free service, our aim is to eradicate landfill wastage of custom sportswear produced by us, by 90%.
Donate Clothes UK is part of Your Donation Ltd, which has been collecting your pre-loved clothes to raise funds for British charities since 2011.
Registered with the Fundraising Regulator, clothing is taken to the Donate Clothes warehouse and quality-checked before being sorted ready for export to Europe, Asia or Africa, giving them a second home and ensuring they don’t end up as landfill. The proceeds raised from the bulk sale of goods is then distributed between a range of good causes.
What does this mean for clients of Scimitar?
We proudly offer this repurposing solution to our clients, ensuring that any unused or un-needed apparel is repurposed efficiently rather than simply thrown away. This exclusive service, which includes pick-up from the door of the client and/or their warehouse, is free of charge and ticks a number of boxes, such as:
- Contactless pick-ups
- Flexibility on collection days and times
- Trusted partner of Scimitar
Recent bulk pick-ups include nationwide charities as well as the Coventry City of Culture kit used in 2021, helping companies and charities reach sustainable CSR requirements and target goals.
