Supplying the Club’s Custom Running Kit Since 2022
At Scimitar, we’re proud to have partnered with Newton Road Runners since 2022, supplying the club with a full range of custom kit. Over the years, the team has chosen everything from our sublimated custom recycled running vests and technical t-shirts to lightweight jackets and custom caps. The bright, bold designs reflect the club’s personality and ensure that their athletes stand out at every race

Celebrating Incredible Achievements
2025 has already been an incredible year for Newton Road Runners, with countless individual and team milestones:
- Six Couch to 5K graduates – Lakshmi, Sathya, Sophie, Jac, Jill and Reiss – completed their programme with a celebratory run at Strathclyde Parkrun in Glasgow.
- Club member Craig joined the elite group of six-star finishers by completing all World Marathon Majors, finishing in Boston this April.
- Coach Ben conquered the Castle to Castle 100-mile ultra marathon, while Callum successfully ran the 95-mile West Highland Way Race.
Many more members have represented the club at marathons, half marathons, and local races throughout the year.
Newton 10K Road Race: Honouring a Legacy
One of the highlights of the club calendar is the Newton 10K Road Race, held each year in memory of much-loved club member Cat Gasket. This year’s race takes place on 8th November 2025.
In 2024, over 400 athletes took part, with many more on the waiting list. As always, the event will include a charity raffle – this year raising funds for Team Alexis Rose, a charity raising awareness about meningitis and septicaemia.
