In just a few days, the Airmen will travel to Malawi to face Nyasa Big Bullets in the first leg of the qualifying stage for the CAF Champions League. This journey represents not just a game, but the continuation of last season’s triumphs season that were filled with incredible achievements.
A STUNNING 2023-24
Red Arrows FC have truly reached new heights this year, showcasing their dominance on both domestic and regional fronts. The team clinched the Zambia Super League title with an impressive 12-point lead, winning 21 games and drawing 8, highlighting their consistency across the season. But the accolades didn’t stop there.
In a thrilling display of skill and nerves of steel, Red Arrows FC triumphed in the 2024 CECAFA Kagame Cup, winning in a dramatic 10-9 penalty shootout. This victory not only added another trophy to their cabinet but also demonstrated their ability to perform under pressure. Their winning streak continued with a convincing 4-1 victory in the 2024 Zambian Charity Shield against Kabwe Warriors thanks to a brace from Ricky Banda, accompanied by a goal each from Angel Lubamba and Michee Malonga.
And let’s not forget their success in the Absa Cup, where they were crowned champions once again, adding yet another accolade to their growing list of accomplishments.
CONTINENTAL FOOTBALL AWAITS
As the team prepares for the CAF Champions League qualifiers, the excitement is palpable. This is a significant moment in their history, as they aim to qualify for Africa’s most prestigious club competition for the first time since 2005.
