Rotherham Titans are gearing up for the 2026/27 season in style, unveiling their new home and away kits from Scimitar Sportswear ahead of their return to Championship rugby.
A new season, a new challenge, and two brand-new kits ready for the Championship.
Designed to represent the club both on and off the pitch, this season’s home jersey stays true to the Titans’ identity, bringing together the club’s iconic claret and blue colours in a bold new design. It is a kit that feels unmistakably Rotherham – proud of the club’s colours, heritage and identity as the Titans prepare to step back into Championship rugby.
The away jersey takes a different approach, with a striking sky blue and white stripe design. Already proving particularly popular within the squad, the fresh away look brings a classic rugby aesthetic into a modern, performance-focused kit.
Both jerseys have already had their first taste of action during an exciting pre-season schedule, including the pre season fixture at Kingston Park Stadium against Newcastle Redbulls on 5 September, and a victorious home game at Clifton lane vs Durham University, giving the squad the chance to put their new Scimitar kit through its paces ahead of the Champ season.
This season also marks an important milestone in the relationship between Rotherham Titans and Scimitar, with 2026/27 being the 9th consecutive year that the club has taken to the pitch in Scimitar kit.
After working together for almost a decade, Scimitar and Rotherham Titans continue to combine performance, durability and identity to create kit designed for the demands of the modern game.
At the heart of the new playing range is Scimitar’s Pro 15s Rugby Jersey, a performance-focused jersey engineered specifically for the intensity of full-contact rugby.
The Pro 15s jersey features a 240gsm PK fabric across the front, back and upper sleeves, made from durable 100% polyester, alongside 320gsm polyester/elastane side panels, collar and underarm panels. A slim-fitting profile, raglan sleeves and reinforced tear points provide a combination of mobility, comfort and durability – essential when the jersey is being put through the demands of scrums, rucks and tackles.
The jersey is also available with a recycled option, continuing Scimitar’s commitment to providing more sustainable choices without compromising on performance.
Completing the Titans’ new matchday look are Scimitar’s Pro Rugby Shorts, built with performance and practicality firmly in mind.
The lightweight 190gsm woven twill polyester construction across the front, back, waistband and lower side panels helps keep the shorts comfortable and mobile, while 190gsm chamois fabric across the upper side panels is designed to help players keep their hands dry during games.
A 240gsm stretch fabric is used on the inside leg panel and internal hem band to provide additional durability, while the elasticated waistband and internal gripper tape help keep the shorts securely in place throughout the action. An internal gum shield pocket is also included as standard – a small but important detail designed specifically for the demands of rugby.
Together, the jersey and shorts create a complete matchday package that is built to perform when it matters.
The new kit isn’t the only change at the Titans this season.
As Rotherham return to the Championship, they will also take to a new, bigger and better pitch, featuring a brand-new surface and a new layout. It is another major step forward for the club as they prepare for a new chapter of Championship rugby.
And the timing could not be more exciting.
The Titans will officially make their return to the Championship on Saturday 19 September, 15:00 at home for their opening fixture against Coventry.
