This past weekend saw an exciting fixture for Scimitar, as two of our partner clubs went head-to-head in National League 1. When two teams kitted out in our industry-leading rugby gear meet, the result is always a showcase of performance, passion and professionalism.

Titans vs Bishops Stortford — A Scimitar Showdown
The spotlight was firmly on the Rotherham Titans and Bishops Stortford as they clashed in a Scimitar derby. Both sides stepped out looking sharp in their fully customised Scimitar kits, embodying the strength and identity of their clubs.
From the opening whistle, the Titans seized control. Their attack was relentless and their defensive line unbreakable. By half-time, momentum was clearly on Rotherham’s side. They showcased fast, dynamic rugby, capitalising on every opportunity.

Yet, there was pride in the effort from Bishops Stortford. Facing a powerhouse side like Rotherham is never easy, but Stortford fought hard, kept pushing forward and showed the resilience their supporters know well. Battles Across Cups and Leagues
Elsewhere, Harborne faced a tough North Mids Cup trip against Droitwich. They played with grit and determination but narrowly missed out, falling 24–31. Despite the result, Harborne’s fight was clear throughout the contest.
In Wales, Pontypridd took on Neath in a dramatic Welsh Cup clash. The game was tight and physical, but Pontypridd came up just short, losing 23–19 in the closing stages.
Meanwhile, Narberth endured another nail-biter against Llanelli Wanderers. Their comeback efforts were strong, but they were edged out 26–25 — proof of how small the margins can be in knockout rugby.
Finally, South Gower delighted their home crowd with a brilliant 17–14 win over Bryncethin in the Admiral National League Division 2 West Central. Discipline and smart play secured the result, showing why South Gower are a team to watch.
