A New Era for Bishop’s Stortford
Scimitar is proud to announce a brand-new partnership with Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club, becoming the club’s technical playing kit supplier from the start of the 2025/26 season.
This partnership represents more than just a new kit. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, one that blends respect for the club’s proud history and heritage with a bold determination to go further, work harder, and level up for the seasons ahead.
One Club, One Community
Bishop’s Stortford RFC is a true “One Club” organisation, with a pathway that spans from minis through to juniors, women’s rugby, and the men’s first team in National League 1.
At the heart of the club is a strong sense of community — families, players, volunteers and supporters all pulling together to make Bishop’s Stortford more than just a rugby club, and Scimitar is excited to be part of that journey, helping to provide high-performance kit for all that unites every player, volunteer, and supporter under one identity.Through this partnership, Scimitar will provide bespoke, high-performance playing kit, training wear, and club shop items. From grassroots to the first team, every section of the club will wear the same badge and identity with pride.
A Historic First: The Scimitar Derby
The 2025/26 campaign will also feature the first-ever Scimitar Derby in National League 1, when Bishop’s Stortford face fellow Scimitar partners Rotherham Titans on Saturday 27 September 2025 — a landmark occasion that celebrates our growing rugby family.
A Kit That Respects the Past, While Looking to the Future
As part of the launch, a new video will debut to showcase the evolution of Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club.
Alongside today’s announcement is the release of a short brand video on social media, capturing the true spirit of Bishop’s Stortford. The video plays tribute to the club’s history and legacy, celebrating the pride, tradition and values that define the community. It also underlines the natural synergy between Scimitar and the club as we embark on this new partnership. The new kit is presented not simply as fresh gear, but as a powerful symbol of determination — showing that Bishop’s Stortford are united, ambitious, and ready to level up for the 2025/26 season.
