Scimitar are delighted to reveal principal sponsorship of the 12 hour Scimitar Lightning Run for 2017.
Held on 30th April 2017, the Scimitar Lightning Run is an off-road endurance event open for 5-person teams, pairs and solo runners, held in the grounds of Catton Park in Walton-upon-Trent, Derbyshire. The established endurance event takes place in stunning scenery and traverses hills and technical trails in the woods. It’s the perfect Spring event to gear up for 2017’s selection of running events.
Race the 10K course and complete as many laps as you can in the time. If you’re running in pairs, operate in relay format with just one of you on the course at one time. The same goes with the 5-person teams. It’s a fun, challenging and rewarding experience, no matter what type of experience you prefer!
We’ve proudly become synonymous with the running community. If you regularly take part in running events, you’ve more than likely come across one of our renowned technical vests or t-shirts. As well as helping shape the event, we’ll be offering all participants an exclusive Scimitar Lightning Run technical t-shirt (with advanced Qwick-Dri™ wicking properties).

As well as the Scimitar Lightning Run, we’re supporting the Catton 10K, which is new for 2017. Taking place the day before the event on the same course, you can enter this race here.
We are producing official Scimitar Lightning Run merchandise (including training tees, baseball caps, hoodies and base layers) to celebrate our inaugural sponsorship of the event, which can be purchased on our online club shop now for January delivery. Scimitar will also be offering a 10% discount across the full retail range and on custom club kit orders placed over the weekend.
