2024 saw Scimitar Storm hit the sevens circuit once again, looking to build on what was an extraordinarily good season for silverware the year before.
From Amsterdam to Edinburgh and Broadstreet to Llanidloes, 42 players took part in Storm matches this season, providing vital experience across the board for the development of young, upcoming talent.
Scimitar Storm followed 2023 successfully, winning one tournament and finishing as runners-up in two; bringing home both a plate and a bowl in the process. The instantly recognisable pink & purple kit has become a staple on the sevens circuit, and we were delighted to welcome a host of new sponsors for the 2024 season.
For EBC Group, it was the start of a beautiful relationship as the title sponsor of Scimitar Storm.

With the UK circuit now finished, the sevens season has officially come to an end for the Storm… or has it?
In just 84 days time, Scimitar Storm will be making the 3,500-mile trip to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to take part in one of the most prestigious global tournaments; the Dubai 7s.
Taking place at The Sevens Stadium on the outskirts of the city, this event will see some of the world’s best invitational teams take part in the three-day tournament.
The event runs alongside the HSBC SVNS tournament, which sees the world’s best international sevens teams battle it out. The weekend is a festival of rugby and music not to be missed if you’re a sevens fan.
Storm will be looking to leave a lasting impression on the Middle East, rubber stamping another successful season within the sevens circuit.
