Hundreds of homeless people in Liverpool won’t be going cold this Christmas, after sustainable sportswear company Scimitar donated over 2000 items of clothing to the charity Liverpool In Arms At Night.
Answering The Call
Anneka Oakes, Managing Director at Liverpool In Arms Charity said: “We reached out to Scimitar after learning they were the official kit supplier of the local Rock N Roll Liverpool Marathon. We needed kit urgently for a number of our members who desperately need kit to keep warm over the coming chilly months.
“Scimitar acted quickly to deliver kit which is so greatly received, as it has made such a huge impact on the lives of those living on the streets around Liverpool.”
Sustainable sportswear company Scimitar lead the way in producing sustainable and recycled custom sportswear and promotional items, and earlier this year they launched their #RecycleReduceRepurpose mantra.
Within this initiative, Scimitar are encouraging their clients to opt for recycled sportswear where possible, while reducing the use of plastics and also repurposing old or unwanted kit. To find out more about Scimitar’s sustainable commitments including their WearThenShare™ initiative, click here.
