Team Cycle Engage: A Review

In 2017, we took on the support of Cycle Engage, a brand new cycling team racing under the official entry Team RGB Building Supplies.
After a year of highs and lows for Team RGB Building Supplies, it was revealed in March that the team would be taking a break for the 2018. Because of this, we took the opportunity to speak with Cycle Engage to review the cycling kit used throughout the year. More importantly, the elite cycling kit worn throughout the year!

In 2017 Team RGB Building Supplies were very proud to wear Scimitar’s elite performance cycling clothing.
Our partnership with custom clothing manufacturer Scimitar enabled our team to train and compete in custom designed and perfectly colour matched cycling kit so not only were we looking stylish but also able to benefit from their high performance technical clothing.
Wearing Scimitar’s elite range of cycling kit allowed our riders to take advantage of the many technical elements that Scimitar incorporates into their cycling options.
Our jerseys featured technical breathable fabric and a reliable full length zip to keep us cool when racing hard as well as functional elements like three full sized pockets on the rear of the jersey for long training days. Our fully custom printed bib shorts kept us on the road through all weathers and in comfort even on the longest rides.
Scimitar also equipped the team with a complete range of accessories including custom arm and leg warmers (with very useful zips at the ankles), long sleeve jerseys for cooler days and team-issue caps to keep the rain and sun from our eyes.
Another essential item in our Scimitar arsenal was our fully branded gazebo which proved a godsend at all our various races – either hiding from the sun, wind or rain as variously thrown at us by the UK weather. Alongside our gazebo we could also ensure a prominent presence at races and events with our Scimitar flags that proudly fluttered alongside our gazebo and kept our sponsor logos in clear view.
And if all that wasn’t enough, Scimitar also kept us in team issue casual clothing with comfortable (and fully branded) fleeces, padded coats, polos, and trousers so that all our riders and staff could be warm and comfortable going to and from races whilst always looking smart and representing our sponsors.
I’d highly recommend Scimitar to all cycling clubs. Scimitar stepped in when another supplier was causing us a host of issues, and it is a decision we are so glad we made.
