Introducing WearThenShare™ Zimbabwe: The Impact Tour with Titan Wealth.
Scimitar is proud to announce the next chapter of its WearThenShare™ initiative with a forthcoming visit to Zimbabwe, delivered in partnership with wealth management firm Titan Wealth and supported by leading figures across the rugby and sustainability communities.
What’s the trip about?
The visit forms part of the wider WearThenShare™ programme, Scimitar’s initiative designed to extend the life of performance sportswear by repurposing surplus and preloved kit and redistributing it to grassroots clubs and communities where access to quality sporting apparel can be limited.
Through partnerships with organisations including Rugby Recycled and the Tag Rugby Trust, thousands of garments have already been redirected away from landfill and placed back into the game, supporting teams, schools and community programmes around the world.
The Zimbabwe visit represents a significant milestone for the programme. It will see a selection of donated sportswear delivered directly to local clubs and young players, while also creating opportunities for coaching sessions, community engagement and meaningful storytelling around the power of sport to connect communities.
Helping hands.
At the heart of the visit will be Max Brown. Widely known across the rugby community as @maxbrownyo, the rugby content creator and influencer has been closely involved with the WearThenShare™ initiative this season.
Max will help deliver kit donations, spend time with local players and capture the experience through a series of video and social media updates that highlight the impact of the programme on the ground.

The tour has been made possible through the support of Titan Wealth, whose partnership helps enable the logistical and operational elements required to deliver the initiative internationally.

The visit will also see collaboration with long time programme partners including Rugby Recycled (led by Gareth Simpson of Saracens), the Tag Rugby Trust (founded and run by Martin Brockman), and Scrum5ive (pioneered by Andy Daniel), all of whom have played key roles in helping WearThenShare™ deliver meaningful impact across grassroots sport in developing countries.

The Zimbabwe tour will ultimately provide a powerful reminder that sustainability in sport is not only about materials and manufacturing. It is also about extending the life of the products we create and ensuring they continue to serve the communities they were designed for.
