On October 25th, the Scimitar WearThenShare™ Roadshow kicked off in style at Walsall RFC.
Gareth Simpson, Saracens’ Scrum Half and founder of Rugby Recycled, met with rugby content creator & Scimitar ambassador Max Brown to officially begin the Scimitar nationwide road show and bring new life to old kit.
The day saw players, parents, and young athletes come together to celebrate sustainability in sport. Both Max and Gareth led training sessions, joined meet-and-greets with mini and junior players, and helped kickstart a nationwide movement to make rugby more sustainable.

What Is the WearThenShare™ Roadshow?
The WearThenShare™ Roadshow is a groundbreaking sustainability initiative from Scimitar, in partnership with Rugby Recycled, Scrum 5ive, and the Tag Rugby Trust, and supported by Titan Wealth.
The mission? To take Scimitar’s WearThenShare™ kit repurposing scheme on tour across the UK, stopping at rugby clubs nationwide to collect unwanted kit, meet players, and spread the message of reuse and repurpose.
With the help of Max Brown, Titan Wealth, and our incredible partners, the 2025 Roadshow makes it easier than ever for clubs to give back. It’s your chance to recycle, repurpose, and make a difference, all while clearing out old kit no longer used by clubs.
What Is WearThenShare™?
WearThenShare™ is Scimitar’s sector-leading sports kit repurposing scheme, designed to tackle waste in sport. We collect old playing kit, apparel, and boots from clubs, organisations, and individuals across the UK. With our repurposing partners, these items are redistributed to communities in developing countries, helping more people access and enjoy sport.
Every shirt, every pair of boots, every piece of kit makes an impact, supporting grassroots clubs and young athletes around the world.
